SO…. LET THERE BE LIGHTLight is required ---is essential for growing seedlings, cuttings, flowers and houseplants! There are systems that comes complete with a light fixture containing Flourescent Tubes. . These are ideal for the smaller seedlings. They will not be strong enough for larger plants…but I will tell you about that later.
SO Flourescents……….Are recommended for seedlings, cuttings and low light plants like African violets, Flourescents promote fast growth and increase sprouting success. Ordinary flourescents don't provide the complete spectral quality and can make plants look off color. I know about the right flourescents which last up to twice as long as ordinary tubes (up to 24,000 hrs.) and fit standard shoplights. These are the best for your seedlings.Hydroponic Gardens, Gardens, Vegetables, Self Watering.
LIGHT REFLECTING MATERIAL
Lining your growing area with reflective material improves yourhydroponic plantsperformance. There is a terrific reflector material which is the best reflective material made, with over 98% reflectivity. Simply staple or tape it to the walls around your garden.Anyone can do it …and what a difference it will make to the growth of your seedlings and plants! This is a must for your build your own hydroponic system.BR>
Light Meters
The right amount of light will make your plants prosper. You can easily monitor the foot candles your plants are receiving, as well as your bulbs on going performance with an easy to use light meter They come with a helpful booklet on desired light requirements for more than 400 plants. Batteries not required.
Light Timers
Recommended for all grow light systems, there is a Grounded Light Timerwhich automatically turns your grow lights on and off for you. Heavy duty, three prong grounded design is rated for 15 amps.
